Sunday Nov 05, 2023
Sunday Nov 05, 2023
The Lord's leadership remains paramount even in such difficult times. His standards have not changed with what humanity has accepted. Lies, arrogance, bloodthirstiness, and deceit remain things He hates. Despite the hatred and lies from people, a person who fears God should remain pure. This purity can be achieved by asking for His leadership, as the Psalmists say. His Leadership can be achieved through His Word and Holy Spirit.

The message of the cross should remain simple and pure, without being embedded in human philosophy. This was Paul's mindset when he arrived in Corinth. He preached the message with fear and trembling, making sure that Christ remained the focal point. Today's church should also strive to keep the message of the cross simple and understandable. It is the work of the Holy Spirit to make the Word understandable, so there is no need to add unnecessary philosophy.

Forgiveness can be a challenging task, but as per God's commandment, we need to forgive others in order to receive forgiveness. In Matthew's teachings, "letting go" is used to explain the process of forgiveness. It's not just about saying the words, but it requires our actions, emotions, and faith to truly let go of someone who has wronged us. Though it might be difficult to release someone who owes us, this illustration helps us understand the act of forgiveness. Forgiveness helps us to move on and heal from the hurt. Remember, forgiveness is the ultimate act of love, and by extending it to others, we can experience peace and freedom in our hearts.

Friday Oct 13, 2023
Human religious cultures are considered as a means to understand God. These means can be in the form of traditions passed down from our forefathers or newly developed theories and philosophies. The aim of these means is to logically comprehend the relationship between humans and God, but our relationship with God is faith-based and, therefore, illogical. Paul teaches us to disregard our logical and philosophical beliefs and simply believe in the redemption story as written in the Bible.
